Affiliate Summit 2013 was a great event that saw hundreds of affiliates, advertisers, publishers, and networks come together in Philadelphia, and Money Maker Discussion was there too, meeting and interviewing people from all across the industry. Ian Fernando is an Internet marketing veteran and an authority in the affiliate world, and this year at Affiliate Summit East MMD was able to catch up with him and talk a bit about his brand new “Internet marketing collections agency” venture.
“Recently, I just came out with Internet Marketing Collections, it’s a really nice little collection type agency that tries to collect money from advertisers that haven’t paid affiliate networks or collect from networks that haven’t paid publishers.”
Ian explained that his agency is a little different than most in that it aggregates its own data and utilizes its own database for its services.
“Basically what we do is we aggregate a lot of data,” Ian said. “say ten people owe $10,000, we aggregate all that data into one database, so say a new person wants to look at somebody, a new advertiser, they can look their name up and see how much they owe, and decide if they want to work with that advertiser directly.”
