With Empower, and now Global Resorts Network, a whole new world has opened up for me. I don’t think most MLM’ers realize just how fast things can change when you start selling big ticket products.
Discussions about making money online invariably include multi-level marketing aka MLM and affiliate marketing. Those conversations often veer off course, getting bogged down in how the last opportunity didn’t pan out or why those who attempted one or the other didn’t make any money.
Network marketer and self-proclaimed “profits pimp,” Brad Campbell, declares the money is in the size of the items being sold. His advice? Stop trying to peddle low-cost items with little potential for earning a decent living and shift your energies over to big ticket items.
Change Your Thinking
Business leader Jim Kurkal put together a shareable infographic for people who wonder why success continues to elude them. Two of the 13 slots on the infographic are occupied by thinking—stop thinking and thinking small. Of course, “stop thinking” refers to over-thinking, not not thinking at all! And thinking small is self-explanatory.
Attributing part of his success to a mindset that shows how top earners and leaders do it differently, Campbell encourages network marketers to be in a learning mode at all times.
His own big thinking, thirst for knowledge (and applying the marketing training he’s received as an Empower Network partner) led him to a revelation that he swears by—big ticket is the game-changer.

Wade Harman says Campbell’s honesty is what made him pay attention to him, even though his article was not very flattering to Empower Network.
What’s going into your ears? Campbell, who doesn’t like to read as a result of eyeballing so many pharmacopoeias while working on his pharmacy degree, urges marketers to pick up audiobooks instead, if that’s what it takes to be in a learning mode at all times.
Even listening to yourself can pose problems for you. For example, in his video “The Network Marketing Catch-22 Doesn’t Exist,” Brad warns affiliate and network marketers that their lack of results is due to the on-going negative replays in their minds. His antidote is an auditory dose of truth—that is, tell yourself:
- You don’t need social proof to make sales.
- You need value and credibility.
- The income you earn with your MLM business is directly
proportional to the amount of value you can deliver.
- Get it outta your head, and get busy learning, doing, and teaching.
