Are PPV ads the preview clips before videos?

Is this the PPV we are talking about?

Ie I have a 2min clip, there is a 15 second ad before the clip starts or whatever?

Just want to clarify.

Nope, PPV is usually triggered when you type in a URL or certain keyword the advertiser had bidded on. Commonly known as adware.

....and the surfer has downloaded certain free software (adware) on his pc that triggers the display of those ads/offer pages.
