Without Proper On-page optimization, if you start off-page optimization, its really waste of time and money.

First of all its totally depends that which plateform you are using for your website. If you are using wordpress then there are lot options. You can use the inbuilt plugins like All in One Search Engine Optimization pack. this is one of the best plugin for wordpress. If you are using the blogger then you have to keep in mind some rules about the On Page Optimization. In On page optimization you have to focus more and more on content of the website. First decide your main keyword about which you are going to post the article. Then try to put that keyword in the first line, in the last line of your article and two or three times in the middle of your article. Write Unique meta tags (description and keyword meta tags) for that article. If you are using blogger.com then its optional. But to achieve higher ranking in google, I will suggest you to add manually your meta tags and description for that particular article. Proper use the heading tags with main keyword.
