There are many types of links such directory ,socialbookmarking,blogs,articles sites,wiki links, edu links etc..

Ordinary links
Social links (Links from social networks)
Web 2 dot 0 links (Links from Squidoo, HubPages, Weebly)
Redirect links (These can be 301 or 302's, all shortened links fall in the 301 category)

Categorizing as those that pass juice, and as those that don't:
Nofollow links
Dofollow links

There are two types of Links.

1. Inbound link
2. outbound link

Inbound link is link within a website linking to other page of its own. Whereas outbound link is a link which is present on somebody else's website pointing to your website.

First that came to my mind was internal and external links too, I remember this from my ccourse on web mastering, and now when I see more answers from forumers I get to understand how little I know...
