article marketing
video marketing
social media
email marketing
JV

The possibilities are endless (well plentiful)

Find western forums where people are interested in the chinese langauge. Include a link to your site in your signature as you post interesting content on those forums.

Try karaoke forums too.

Submit your video clips to Youtube and all other high-traffic video sites.
Use viral marketing i.e. give away free ebook, reports, sample, videos, CD etc.
Of course article marketing is another one traffic generating method you can consider.

if the youtube video works for, dont just stop there. scale it as much as possible. same with any teachnique.

What seems to work are article submissions, social networks, ppc, ppv, email marketing, backlinks etc.

Of all those that have been said, a piece of advice is to work hard and wait for at least 3 months for any method that you use because that is the average time you will see the result in increasing your traffic. Just be patient and do what you plan to do...

yeah twitter is a pertty awesome tool to promote a site or blog. You should check out jeff bullas tips on doing that he has over 40K followers on twitter and tell people how he does it on his blog.
