I think he's from NY, USA.bG90, are you based in Europe or US or another country? You said you own a German site, so I'm just curious whether you speak any German. If you're not based in Europe or more specifically Germany, how comes you have a German site... is the market over there any good?
Also regarding Tracking202 vs CPVlab, what are the main differences between the two? Why is CPVlab better in your experience and opinion? I'm looking into Prosper202, which I think is the paid version of Tracking202 -- have you used that yet?
T202 is free, but there is a paid pro version. It's good if you can get it to work... I'm no noob when it comes to HTML/PHP and install scripts, but I ran into a big error: it wouldn't track visitors from FB. No idea why. I contacted their support and it's apparently my hosting, I need a VPS... so if you do use it you may need a VPS.
Tried the redirect, still didn't work. I have no idea why. I've almost finished my own tracking system, which I'll probably release, it should work perfectly fine with FB and on Hostgator. Just need to keep testing it now.Hi British_Lion,
Thanks for the replies and links, and YES you've been very helpful. It looks like the recommended hosts by P202 are affiliated links, lol. Gotta expect it I guess.
Like you I'm with Hostgator (having been with 1&1 for a few years but the lack of cPanel made me change) so may initially change to shared hosting to see how it works. I'm wondering why the P202 tool doesn't track FB traffic? Would it be possible to create a instant-redirect landing page just for FB traffic and then send that to rotated ads/landing pages and get it tracked that way?
I've been doing FB ads for a few months now. Most have been loss making or breakeven, but that is because I have been targetting 2 subniches and keep testing different offers. A handful of offers have been runaway successes making over £1k a month net profit, but the rest I keep binning as after a 100-200k impressions and few clickthroughs (whether CPC or CPM). I guess it's all down to the same formula of test, tweak, test, tweak and if it works then scale! Problem is to find sustainable campaigns as even profitable ones eventually die out. I'll be changing my strategy with FB ads in the new year. No more direct PPC to CPA landing pages direct anymore. I'll start building a list within niches that I find profitable, and then email them offers and good content instead. We'll see how that goes.
(Btw, I thought you started a PPV thread but it was asianpersuasion that did it here: http://www.moneymakerdiscussion.com/forum/mmd-personal-journals/36686-aps-journal-ppv-success.html)
I'd be glad to receive it! Let's continue this on PM so we don't hijack bG90's thread as you mentioned.Tried the redirect, still didn't work. I have no idea why. Have you been using any tracking? If not it's very important. Nice success, I've made $21 from $14 or something like that... first time at this, check out my journal for more info.
Anyway I'll leave this here, don't want to hijack bG90's thread! I'll probably PM you some time with my system if you want a copy.
