I agree there are so many ways to get clients but it all boils down to a single method - you have to talk to them sometime. It is purley a numbers game I garee that it takes 5-10 approaches to get one appointment but remember this that if it does take 10 calls the other 9 are not saying 'NO' to you. You have probably called when it is inconvenient for them, it may be just a bad day, they do not know who you are so why should they say no to you personally.
Just think the last time you went into a store and were met by a sales person, 'Can I help you' they say, what is your immediate reply - 'No I am just looking around', you were not saying no to the salesperson personally.
The other thing to remember all tose 'No' response do not throw them away, keep them in your pile, and keep calling one day it will be right and they will say 'Yes'.

I used to run a competition for my guys I offered a bottle of Champagn and £100 if they could make 10 calls a day for 5 days and get all 'No' responses, funny how no one ever won that prize, peole kept saying 'Yes'. psycholgically you here the 'No' responses and it can effect you unless you accept what I am saying.

Also never ever leave an appointment without asking for referrals, don't be emabarressed with you professional service why would they not refer you onwards, and I have no doubt that you are a professional.

Ideas for business an offline probably it is quite good to look for online. After all on the Internet set of ideas. ON myself I know that the best it to start to render what or service after all it doesn't demand the big initial investments.

If your business is local and you are targeting people in your area then the cheapest and I should say FREE is to get yourself listed in GOOGLE PLACES. It requires a bit of technical knowledge to stand out in front of the other crowds that are doing the same business in your area.

Google's recent focus is to get local businesses closer to their audiences and every local business should take advantage of that.

Do a keyword research in google adwords free research tool for your consulting service and select the results where there is a resonable demand i.e. people are searching for that keyword. Don't go for high demand keywords as you will get burned out with the competition. Try optimising those keywords for your business with google places and also get your business listed in other local directories. This way it will help you get exposure for your offline business. Add some pictures and videos of your services.

Honestly, nobody looks at yellow pages or local ads anymore. would you? If I need to visit a doctor or a dentist I would do a google search to find one in my area. advertisement is a waste of money.

Hope that helps.

I've been working in newspaper advertising for just under 20 years. I agree, that there isn't anything so well read and trusted as a local hometown newspaper. Especially smaller community weeklies! I have utilized this outlet for a variety of our clients over the years with great success. I would advise you to utilize discount newspaper classified buys like we do to stretch your budget the farthest!

The key to success is going to be repetition in placement and whether you have a quality service or opportunity to offer! Let me know if I can assist you further. Good luck! :burnout:
insertion to your local newspapers helps.

For offline marketing just try posting ads to newspapers or any brochures or leaflets. You can also send out flyers and your business cards to your prospects.

I believe that it's easiest to start with things you or your friends most know about. Then you can start by selling stuff to your friends, then your friends would easily recommend you to their friends and so on.

Really? I must tell this to a girl I know making 100.00 per high school game she goes to. *not much I know but a lot for not really doing anything* All she does is hand out flyers and thanks to cell phone technology she has money before she even reaches home. She is now looking into getting QR codes to increase conversions.

I take it nothing works in your book... Try flipping burgers. If you have never tried something best not to comment. We are here to make money and telling people something does not work when it clearly does is just harmful to other members. Please save the false and negative info for other forums. We are here to make money. Also if flyers did not work why would people hand them out? They are still a very useful medium even today. The only thing that needs to be done with them is to update there medium to make them easier access for cell phone users. - The QR codes.

Really?
You are more then welcome to go over my posts and let me know if i come here to send harmful messages to members of the forum. If anything, im here to help and learn .Believe me i know what im talking about , i have done it myself and knew many people who did it. I wouldnt give advices about things that i have no idea about. The name of the thread is - "What is the best way to do offline marketing" , and if you want to tell me , that the best way to do offline marketing is by giving flayers , well, then good luck with that. I think, no, im sure, that these days , there are too many better ways to do offline marketing then giving flayers to people which they will throw away and forget about . Im not here to help people throw away money to make maybe some bucks.Im here to give valuable advices which will last . It all depends on which product/service we are talking about. And i will be more then glad, to give my advice, as soon as the thread maker will answer my question.
Thank you for the fast judgment :) , really makes me think that doing before thinking is the best way to live.
