The ClickBank 10... A Template TO Success

Journal Date:

Hey MMD Family, Well Guy's trying To Update this When I can as
I have Been Extremely Busy as Of late.
Like to Share This Little TidBit I Ran across
with Those Of you Affiliates promoting CLICKBANK Products..
Some may Actually Find This Useful.

I think CB product selection's probably the single area where most affiliates make mistakes that are most expensive in terms of opportunity-cost.

Here's A 10-point checklist for CB product-selection (and these are more or less the order in which I look at them, too, I think):-

1. Has to be a niche in which the prospective customers are not already Clickbank affiliates themselves (obviously! - otherwise how can you possibly ever earn an affiliate commission on a sale to them?!) - so for me that completely excludes the "IM advice" and "make money online" niches.

2. No leaks on the sales page: (no opt-in, no "free trial", no "contact the vendor here" etc.)

3. No ridiculous hype or deceptive tactics on the sales page (nothing obviously non-FTC-compliant, no phony urgency/scarcity, nothing clearly deceptive/dishonest, no credibility-losing claims, no income-claims, no cancer-curing claims, no deceptive crap about "as seen on Yahoo/MSN" which people will rightly ridicule!).

4. No pop-ups/discounts.

5. Gravity not too high (over 30 puts me off a bit; over 60 puts me off a bit more; over 100 I won't consider at the moment).

6. Sales-page looks to me as if it will convert my traffic well (obviously subjective and not entirely reliable, but as a copywriter I like to think I can guess pretty well, and I can tell whether it's "professional copy" or "home-made copy" - and I don't care about anyone else's traffic so "overall conversion rates" aren't relevant to me, not that they're available anyway).

7. Good product (I don't promote anything without seeing and assessing it myself, obviously)

8. Good vendor reputation/attitude/behaviour (I'll contact them first, one way or another, and if I don't get a reply I won't promote their product, because I can imagine what their after-sales behaviour will be like if they won't even reply to a prospective business associate).

9. Reasonably high earnings per sale (75% of small amount, 60% of medium amount, 50% of larger amount etc.) - I slightly prefer more expensive products around $100 when I can find them, because I think they're easier for me to sell than cheaper ones (really).

10. Has to be something I can write about (I'm an article marketer) - for me, that probably excludes anything terribly technical or for which I'll have to go to night school to understand the vocabulary.

The things I don't really care about, though I recognize that some affiliates do, which are therefore not on my list at all, are (i) "% rfd", and (ii) affiliate gimmicks (banners/articles etc) offered by the vendor, which I'm probably not going to use anyway. I strongly suspect that almost no professional affiliate has much interest in "marketing tools" provided by the vendor or really takes this into account in product-selection.

In my first 4 or 5 months as a Clickbank affiliate, I earned very, very little. The two things that made a huge and dramatic difference to my income were (a) not touching anything with a vendor's opt-in on the sales-page, and (b) staying well away from high gravity products. I changed just those two things and quite quickly I was really making a living, and have been ever sinc

Respect And Attention

OK Guy's I'm Gonna Really Make a Concerted Effort to start Keeping this Journal Up....
Got a Bunch Of Really Helpful Info. Just Need to Post It...
Anyhoot here's a Small Piece I found Interesting

It really doesn't matter what type of relationship it is. It could be a relationship with an outsourcer. It could be a relationship with an employee. It could be a relationship with your spouse or children. It could be a relationship with your marketplace.

But what I strongly suggest you do, is start looking at relationships as learning experiences.

Because in any relationship, if you're attentive and willing to look, you're constantly being taught by the other side. About how to respond to them to get them to do what you want. About how to get them to do what's best for them. And to learn what motivates them.

In any individual relationship, there is an opportunity to learn about the other side.

For example, with your employees, the more you learn about how they respond to different motivation tactics, different requests, etc. the more they're effectively teaching you about how to get the best out of them. The same goes for your marketplace. Looking at what they respond to and what they don't respond to in terms of your offers teaches you how to best approach them.

In other words, every experience you have in a relationship is an opportunity for you to learn something that will help you perform better in whatever area you're working in. I believe that that's a very powerful shift in perspective that when fully embraced, will allow you to consistently improve.

So these three techniques I've shared with you are not "go out and study or think about them for a while" techniques. Embrace these mindsets, embrace these ways of being, and by doing so, you will be more successful, more influential, more respected because of their impact on you over time.

I know "over time" is not the most sexy phrase because we tend to want things immediately. We live in the "now culture" so to speak, but the more you can embrace them, the better off you'll be

Twitters Awesome Mobile Vine App...Makes Video Marketing More Accessible!

Journal Date:

Ok Guy's try To get Here when I can...Sorry For the Lapse in time between Postings.
Just a little something I found along My travels that Our Twitter and Mobile Marketers Might find Useful.

We'll make this one fairly short and sweet, folks, because well, that's what it is. Twitter announced the launch of its new, integrated mobile video app called Vine. The GIF-like app, which was acquired by Twitter in October 2012, enables mobile users to capture and share short videos of six seconds or fewer, which complements the brevity of 140-character tweets quite nicely. Why is it GIF-like, you ask? Because these short videos play on a loop, just like an animated GIF does.

According to the Vine blog ...

"Posts on Vine are about abbreviation -- the shortened form of something larger. They're little windows into the people, settings, ideas and objects that make up your life. They're quirky, and we think that's part of what makes them so special."

While the app is currently only available on the iPhone and iPod touch, and free to download in the App Store, Twitter says it's working to make it available for other platforms, so be on the lookout. Users don't need a Twitter account to use Vine, and despite Mashable's report that its videos weren't getting shared to Facebook, the app claims it supports sharing Vine videos to both Twitter and Facebook, with more social networks "coming soon."

How Vine Is Making Video Content More Accessible to Marketers

The first thing I can't help but think about is how this app plays into the whole visual content trend we're seeing more and more of, particularly in social media. To me, the app seems like a fusion of video content and static visual content like images.

And because of its ease of use, I also see it as a more accessible way for marketers to leverage creative video content. While marketers have long had video sharing services like YouTube that enable them to easily share videos in social media, the mobile, on-the-go nature of Vine seems to encourage more quick and dirty video creation and sharing that is less concerned with production quality, and more about the content itself. Vine's 6-second time limit also capitalizes on users' short attention spans, considering that about 20% of viewers will abandon your videos after just 10 seconds, according to Visible Measures.
Some Ideas for Creating Vine Videos for Marketing

Intrigued by the possibilities of using Vine for marketing? Let's get the creative juices flowing, marketers. Here are some quick ideas we've come up with for using Vine videos in your social media marketing ...

*Sneak peeks to promote an upcoming event or webinar (e.g. speaker clips)
*Short, funny clips to showcase the personality behind your brand (a la Moose Tracks)
*Quick, bite-sized product demos
*Clips showing off awesome new gear/swag/products in action
* "Behind the scenes" looks at your office to show your company's culture and the people behind your brand
*Quick highlight reels
*Short features of customers enjoying your product/services
*Clips highlighting PR initiatives, like employees doing charity work or award *acceptance speeches
*Brief announcements from your executives about product feature launches
